Get ready to be inspired! The Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) is hosting its annual Gifted & Talented (GT) Showcase tomorrow, Thursday, April 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will take place at North Heights Community School and is free and open to the public. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see the creativity and critical thinking of our local students firsthand.
**What to Expect:**
* **Elementary Innovation (Grades 3–5):** Students have partnered with the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council (TRAHC) to create original space-themed projects that blend research, design, and artistic expression.
* **Middle School Mastery:** Older students will present independent projects of interest, using display boards to showcase their inquiry and problem-solving skills.
* **The Arkansas Skydome Planetarium:** A special highlight of the night! Visitors can step inside a mobile planetarium, explore space artifacts, and even view celestial objects through a telescope.
As Superintendent Lloyd Jackson noted, this showcase is a true "celebration of curiosity and student voice." Come out and support the next generation of leaders and creators!
