The town of Hooks, Texas, and surrounding communities are proving that no one fights alone. Eight-year-old Easton Green, a local boy battling an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, has become the heart of a massive community effort.

Easton's journey took a sudden turn in March when breathing difficulties led to an emergency airlift to Children’s Medical Hospital in Dallas. While Easton has been bravely undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy that will continue for the next three years, his community has been working tirelessly behind the scenes.

The original plan was simple: repair Easton's family home to ensure it was safe for his return. However, volunteers discovered a major setback—the home was plagued by mold, making it unsafe for a child with a compromised immune system.

Refusing to give up, the community shifted gears. In partnership with the organization Chloe’s Journey of Faith, a fundraiser was launched to purchase a brand-new mobile home for Easton and his family. Local volunteers and neighbors have already raised a significant portion of the funds, but they are currently approximately $19,000 short of the final goal.

The spirit of Texarkana and Hooks is on full display as neighbors come together to ensure Easton has a safe, clean place to recover. Every donation brings Easton one step closer to coming home.
