Pleasant Grove ISD Employee Arrested, Removed From Campus Amid Student‑Related Allegations

TEXARKANA, Texas — Pleasant Grove ISD has removed a high school employee from campus following his arrest in a case involving allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to district officials.

The district says it received an anonymous report on Monday, April 27, and immediately opened an internal investigation. PGISD also notified the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texarkana Texas Police Department, and the Texas Education Agency.

In a statement, the district emphasized that “the safety and well‑being of our students is our highest priority” and said the employee will not return to campus.

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the employee as 63‑year‑old Jeffrey Parker of Queen City, a special education teacher. Parker is charged with:
