Douglas Todd White Faces Additional Felony Charges Involving Two Boys
TEXARKANA, Texas — A Bowie County grand jury has issued seven new felony indictments against Douglas Todd White, 59, expanding an already active case involving allegations of sexual offenses against multiple male children.
The new charges build on an investigation that began in late 2025, when White was first arrested following a traffic stop that raised concerns for a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper.
Traffic Stop Sparked Initial Investigation
According to a probable cause affidavit, a DPS trooper pulled White over around 2:35 a.m. on December 5. During the stop, the trooper became suspicious of White’s relationship with a young male passenger.
White reportedly allowed investigators to search his phone, where authorities say they found “intimate” text messages between him and the child. Investigators also allege the messages suggested White threatened to withhold rides, food, and other basic needs if the boy did not comply with certain requests.
The child later told a forensic interviewer that White had shown him child sexual abuse material and adult pornography, and had made sexual comments while encouraging him to visit White’s home when no one else was present.
Second Alleged Victim Comes Forward
Following White’s arrest, a second alleged victim contacted authorities, prompting the grand jury to return additional indictments. The new charges include:
- Four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child
- Two counts of sexual assault
- One additional count of sexual assault
These charges are in addition to the original child‑grooming allegation. Aggravated sexual assault of a child carries a potential sentence of five to 99 years or life in prison.
Case Status
White was previously released on $150,000 bond, which remains in place. He is represented by Texarkana attorney Michael Friedman. The case is assigned to 202nd District Judge John Tidwell, and court proceedings are ongoing.
