A Texarkana man is in custody following the alleged assault of a 9-year-old girl

Terence Ledale Pierce, 28, of Texarkana, Texas, his arrested on a charge of Injury to a Child from an incident that occurred last year.

  • Charge: Injury to a Child.
  • Allegations: He is accused of assaulting a 9-year-old girl during an argument with her mother in May 2024, causing an injury to the child’s lip. The affidavit also alleges he attempted to promise the girl a toy in exchange for her silence.
  • Arrest: Pierce was arrested on the assault charge on November 29th.
  • Probation Violation: In addition to the new charge, he is being held on a motion to revoke his 10-year probation term, which he is serving for assault on a peace officer from a 2022 plea bargain. If he is convicted of Injury to a Child, he faces 5 to 99 years or life in prison. If his probation is revoked, he could receive up to 10 years.
