TEXARKANA, Texas — A teenager has been arrested in the shooting death of a local man early Friday morning.
Texarkana Texas Police Department detectives arrested a minor from Ashdown, Arkansas, this afternoon. He was charged with the murder of Trewan Sanders, 22, and booked into the Bi-State Jail.
At 4:51 a.m. Friday, TTPD received a 911 call from a home in the 1200 block of Nolthenius Street saying that someone had been shot there, according to spokesman Shawn Vaughn. Upon arrival, officers found Sanders dead just inside a door to the residence.
“It’s very early in the investigation so there’s more questions than answers at this point,” Vaughn said.
Friday afternoon, detectives arrested Kamarion Fricks, 17, of Ashdown, Ark. He was booked into the Bi-State Jail on a murder charge.
Authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
