I-30 fatal Crash

TEXARKANA, Texas — A construction worker killed Thursday in a crash has been identified. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Braden Tucker, 21, of Lufkin, Texas, attempted to cross Interstate 30 on a Kubota skid steer when he was hit by an eastbound 18-wheeler. Tucker was thrown from the skid steer. He was taken to the nearest hospital, where he died from his injuries. 

The crash happened at the 190-mile marker west of New Boston. Tucker was working on guardrails in the center median prior to the crash. 

An investigation is ongoing.
